Many people like to get ready and adorn themselves with jewelry when they leave the house. But in some medical procedures it’s not a great idea to wear jewelry and other accessories. Does the same apply to massage therapy and physiotherapy sessions? If you’re thinking of wearing that beautiful diamond bracelet or necklace to your next appointment, you may be wondering if it’s a good idea.
If you’ve got some jewelry on when you’re about to see your therapist, it’s uncertain whether or not it will affect the care you receive. There is always the possibility that the medical professional will ask you to remove any jewelry if necessary. So it’s probably ok to have the jewelry on when you leave the house. If you’re still worried about it, however, then you may just want to call ahead to make sure.
There are many different kinds of jewelry with diamond rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces being the most popular. If you’re purchased some diamond jewelry from a store and wear it out everywhere, keep doing your thing. If you’re getting some type of procedure done that you are unsure whether the metal in the jewelry will affect it, be sure to let someone at the medical clinic know you’re wearing that piece.
It’s actually kind of common sense, if you think about it. If you’re asking this question, you should probably just not wear it. But I can’t forsee any reason it would affect a physio or massage session. But I’m not a medical professional and you should always consult a real one before you make any decisions. If you’re unsure, just ask.
